There should be a (bypass) with a balance valve between the supply and return water., the reasoning behind this is to balance the system.,
balance can mean, as for water pressure/flow and the other more advance reason could be to (control ) water temps.,no signature

Hi,
Most probably you have W/C and A/C condenser in series and the W/C (HR) condenser is a PHE and first in the line.
IOM indicates this because when the compressor is not in operation and water temp is below 28C then saturation of refrigerant may occur and fill up the PHE with liquid.
When compressor starts you may have hydraulic hammering and brake PHE.
The configuration may be pump – PHE – 3way and pump or loads in order to raise the temperature as quick as possible.
Hope my approach is helpful.
Regard,
CV

?! hydraulic hammering
hi
asuume the unit is in the first comision and water temp is 20c.
the heat recovery water pump is "off" .
do you think in this situation we can face the hydraulic hammering ?
if the situation is like this how can the unit start up ?
we dont have heat source to heat the HR water at firs start !!!
to brake PHE at first start sound to me not so good !!!!
