    Vision Pro 8000 Button Battery

I am curious to know what the button battery in the Honeywell Vision Pro8000 is for and why Honeywell says it cannot be replaced.

What symptoms will be seen when this battery dies?

If the battery is actually replaceable, does the installer options revert to the defaults when the battery is removed?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

That battery is what keeps the internal programming. It should last for the expected operating life of the t-stat. Not sure what else happens if you remove it but I would not recommend finding out.

Thats a 10 year lithium battery. Never removed one, so no idea what would happen if you removed it.

How many times must one fix something before it is fixed?
