Yeaaahhh.. thats why it doesnt start.
I've always had them go bad and heard stories of them exploding. Now i finally get to see one.

I never seen one that clean.
All of the ones I have found had the foil and paper all over the place.

Had one last week. I could see the oil all over the roof below the service panel. Knew what i had from 15 feet away. Another 35/5/370 and off I went.

Did you notice the rust? Where did the water come from that shorted it out?

Its a Russell condensing unit on the ground outside the building. There is a hill where water runs down towards it but i was never there when it rained hard to definitely say there is a drainage/flooding problem.

Never seen 1 blow like that.
They always rip open a tear at the top and get that crap spewed everywhere.
1 actually blew on a tune up from a 25 year old unit, original run cap, with mean few feet away.Tell Obama he can keep the change
