Look at the midwest brand. I much prefer them over the Wiss. They fit my hand
better and I like the longer blades on them.
Looking to put some tin snips (aviation snips) in my tool bag. Which brand is a better buy (better quality)?

Try malco, I got 4 years out of them before the trim cuts were difficult to perform. They have composit handles which don't fall off as they get worn.
Klenks are the best snips of any I have ever used.

I have many but use my Midwest the most.

The day I stop learning.... I'm dead!
Thanks guys.
Hands down...Midwest snips are the best.
Mainly use Malco being main distributor carries them. Klenks handles are too spred out or my hands to be comfortable or at least the pairs was I bought about 20 years ago ..... that was enough for me. First pair I ever had was weiss and them seemed to hold up better but are not as available. I see sears has midwest but never tried them ....... seemed like they were in a pack with yellow handled straights and I never have bought yellows, don't need them. Have bought a few other cheap brands over the years to wee what they are ........ waste of money. malco or weiss are both fine with me.
I agree about the klenks opening too wide.I used to buy thr craftsman brand because of the warranty.Me and the sears associate went round and round about the warranty(me always coming in after cutting heavy gauge slips). Now I use Midwest.
midwest good. malco good. wiss good. all made in USA
lenox no good. made in china. plus they dont seem to 'handle' well. hurts my paws.

I have not looked at the Lenox to know they were made in China. Seems backwards with their pricing to me. A set of Weiss are less than a set of Lenox snips, at my local Menards.
If the Lenox are in fact Chicom made, ixnay on them then. Weiss it is.
I found Klenks to be a little long in overall length. Now for the real question straights or offsets?
Midwest is the best one IMO. I have used them all and they last the longest. If you break them you can return them for a new pair.

Lenox are expensive and become dull quick.
