Trane techview
Anyone familiar with techview? I don't work for Trane , but we use techview as a service tool to manage chiller controls, check operations and log manually.
Can anyone explain a way to log chiller using techview? I used ashrae log, but I don't log much info, only basic stuff, I'm looking to record more technical data, running info etc
Please help

I believe that you need Kestler View to log the machine.
That is one of the proprietary parts of Kestler View along with we can program from file.
I have seen contractors that really know computers make their own Excel program to log the machine using Techview.

You should be able to log chillers using Techview. I'm not sure if that is an option that was changed with the Kestrelview version or not.
Do you have an option to create a chiller service report? it should be in the same area that you find the ASHRAE report.

In the same menu as you find the ASHRAE report is chiller report , its more info than the ashrae report .
And let get this straight ist not kissingview, kisterview, eaglesnotview keslerview or any other variation therof
Is KESTRELVIEW named after a small hawk usually seen in the UK . And KESTRELVIEW is ONLY available to Trane service techs using a Trane provided laptop.
You used to have to plug in a key to your laptop to open Kestrelview but now the software wizards have made it so somehow it recognizes you are on a Trane laptop and it opens automatically .You bend em" I"ll mend em" !!!!!!!
I"m not a service tech.. I"m a thermodynamic transfer analyst & strategic system sustainability specialist
Whooo Hooo spring at last , time to get the toys out ........vrrrroooooom !!!!
