JCI FXPC Line issues...
hi guys, I'm a new to ddc but fairly experienced working with controls...discrete components/pneumatics/etc. I've recently gotten into the fcpc line and have come to a bit of a problem trying to control a typical 2 stage heat 2 stage cool rtu. I used the cct to configure the program using the menu system and set it up for cycle during occ. This is a stand alone rtu that is simply being enabled via BI for the occupancy. The problem is that when this thing goes to occ nd once the fan starts it doesn't want to shut off and if it does it's for a brief time. I've read through that monster pdf about all the modules that control the fan and heating cycle and it seems like it's sort of setup to pretty much run the fan whenever there is any sort of call for heat and because the pid does such a fine job the fan start stop never gets a 0% heating value and because it doesn't really overshoot enough to cause the heat controller to go timing low the fan never shuts down. Anyone run into this? Am I mistaken that the cycle during occ pertains to the eventual shutdown of the fan? any help is appreciated. The config was pretty straight forward- rtu is a carrier 10 ton- zone control, 2 heat, 2 cool, econo, occ. What I find pretty awesome is that this thing is doing a good job keeping the temp nice and steady but for a client that doesn't want the fan running it's an issue.
