I knew we could not win this from the beginning. All you have to do is read some history. Also, we cannot afford to finance this collossal mess any longer. Im sure we have spent way over the estimated cost of the war.

Knowing what we know now about the MidEast, Arabs, Terrorists, Lunatics here and abroad, Our lack of Allies, and the overall cost of being the World Policeman, WHAT THE HELL ARE WE EVEN CONSIDERING TAKING ON IRAN?

That is pure stupidity. Sorry, but don't the government get it? Muslims are nuts.

Cheapest war in history in terms of money.

The lesson we have learned is that you can't go to war with Democrats and they don't make generals like they use to. .

Watch for a book out soon by the general. No doubt Time Warner will publish it.

I think our military is awesome! Its the planning and decision making that is whacked. The white house should have the sign of chaos on the front lawn.

He retired as a LT. General. That is three star rank.

He was also director of operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 2000 to 2002.

As the director of operations he was intimately involved with the planning and logistics for the Iraq invasion.

    Hardly an apprentice.

You boys are getting desperate in defending Shrub.

First James claims the DHS is not a part of the Bush administration, that they don't hire people and that Doyle was a longtime government employee.

Next cehs states that a three star General and director of operations for the JCS is comparable to an apprentice.

    Conservlicans,

    What a mess.

When do you think the game should be over? When we have defeated the insurgents? That will never happen. Iraq needs a civil war or needs to be split. Those that had the power will never bow down until they have their power restored, unless they are completely eliminated.

During the iran iraq war, saddam exspected the kurds to fight with iraq but instead they fought along side iran. This pissed him off, he felt betrayed and sought to wipe them out. I would probably do the same thing.

Not sure what my point is though.

    I don't know about Jimmy8675309's lessons-learned,
but one thing we know for sure, that we may have had a 'gut feel' about 15-years ago.

...these muuuuuslim countries are messed up.
    just leave them alone.
they can figure out a cure for cancer on their own...ya'right.
if they 'try' to rise-up with a weapon or two in the future, just Bomb the islam out of them.
never use ground troops - they're not worth an American life.

    and,

    Bomb Iran NOW!!!
    (...or sub-it-out to Israel).
