Trapped smokepipe !
Found this gem with a Winkler low pressure oil burner and trapped smokepipe. I thought the smokepipe fell down in the dimly lit basement, then I broke out the droplight. Still haven't figured it out. Whatcha all think??

Yeah, it's been like that for a very long time, probably decades.

Just a thought....The barometric damper had to be at a level below the top of the boiler?
OR, too much beer, no installation manual.Never give up; Never surrender!

It's weird, i tell ya. It would have run like this for a very long time. I don't understand how flue products are supposed to go downhill. Maybe it's a low pressure thing?!??

I thought the cellar looked kinda familiar with the rock foundation.
Then I saw the location, Lancaster, my home town.

OOPs, that work is older than me. It's just that the cellar looked like the old homestead's one.
