If your a professional, you should know why.

never worked on a G20 but I think I heard somewhere about them having problems with fuel filters

also heard of lennox having problems with faulty biconclavicators. Seems the radius rods were shearing right off. May be a factory recall on that part and you could get it fixed for FREE! Ask your dealer.

Early G20's had a standing pilot, if yours is one of those it most likely has some serious rusting in heat exchanger. Later versions were spark ignition pilot. The heat exchanger should be inspected in either case. You should have the unit serviced and repaired by a professional.

I work for a Lennox dealer, and there's no factory recall on the radius rods, I checked. If the rod has sheered, it can be replaced for only a moderate amount of money.Originally posted by samtheman

they were available both ways from the get go. E in model # told you if it was a sparker.
as far as the radius rods there was an inspection program but that ended last year.

Trick question? Leave the switch in the on position?
Or try this. Call some one that can get the part and install it. Easy repair if you are a pro. Give them the model # and describe as you did here.

If I remember correctly Lennox dropped the standing pilot model and would supply a electronic ignition conversion kit when a heat exchanger rusted out on one of those. Early in the production run the furnace was available either way, but later the funace was only available with electronic ignition.

Call a Lennox dealer. Even a poor one should bring that part with them. A good one will also bring the radius rod.
