AMERICAN STANDARD AIR HANDLER
I HAVE AMERICAN STANDARD AIR HANDLER /HEAT PUMP 16 SEER AFTER T-STAT SATISFIED VARIABLE SPEED BLOWER CONTINUES TO RUN RAMPED DOWN FOR SEVERAL MINUTES AS MUCH AS 20 MIN ISW THIS NORMAL?

Your 16 seer is a 2 step system which means at 1st call you have about 80% capacity come on and fan speed should level out at same. if it gets the second call it will speed up to full capacity and fan speed. so you need to determine if the longer run time is after both calls have ended or do you still have an existing 1st stage call.
If both calls have ended then no the fan should not stay on that long, maybe it will run about 5-7 min. depending on how your board was setup.

It should not run more than 1 minute after BOTH STAGES of the thermostat are satisfied. This is when Comfort R is enabled. Otherwise it should shut off right away.
What is the air handler model #?Remember, Air Conditioning begins with AIR.

AMARICAN STANDARD AIR HANDLER
PROBLEM SOLVED HAD TO RESET DIP SWITCHES. ALSO HEAT PUMP GROSSLY OVER CHARGED. THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSES
