I've been thinking off doing some jnj like this. Has anyone made one that uses Nat gas?

My son teaches full time at the Sheet Metal Workers local and wanted to get his 3rd year students some exposure in taking an idea through design, layout, and construction. His idea was for each student to make a BBQ.
For the students it was more fun than sheet metal fittings. And they got to take them home.

I have the New Braunfels smoker, but I made this for the patio fire pit for easier cooking. Using wood, you get smaoke any way you look at it though.
