Thermostat / Heat Pump Challenge
Hi,
I'm a licensed contractor, , Ive installed around 15 Gas packs
Now I'm installing a package heat pump and running into problems with wiring the thermostat for a york 2.5 ton Heat pump system with Heat Kit
Ive got it wired up to a honeywell 3000 series thermostat, Using the 2H/1C config.
Could you guys check my work for the thermostat wiring, Im not getting a response on the heat cycle, fan comes on fine.
On the thermostat I jumpered E and AUX and connected it to W2 on the unit
I wired B on the thermostat to C on the unit (per the schematic)
From the unit to the thermostat G to G , O to O, Y to Y, R to R
On the thermostat I left L and C open.
Below are all the pertinent schematics
so did I cross my wires? What correction do I need to make?
TIA,
Warhorse

B on t-stat to C on what unit.
you're fixing to let the magic smoke out of something
It`s better to be silent and thought the fool; than speak and remove all doubt.

C on what unit?
On the heat pumps terminals
Heat pump = Unit
I'd like to keep the magic smoke inside there please.
jumper w1 and w2
will this work?

B on stat to C on unit is dead short when you call for heat.
I would agree that jumping W1 to W2 will get your electric heat on.
