    Computor clean-up time

Just had to open up my desktop computor to change a fan out; WOW was the inside dusty! All of the circuit boards & heat sinks covered. I'm glad my fan broke or I may have been replacing my whole computor due to the dust.

My opinion is that you really need to take the side panel off first, or else you are just swirling the dust around inside and it will re-settle; not to mention that not doing so you are likely not getting everything inside blown off. That heat sink of mine has a separate fan over it. Blowing from outside wouldn't clean that.

Leaving your computer on 24/7 for no good reason, and it sits there sucking in dust 24/7.

Must have too much time on my hands, take the two work computers apart once a year and vacuum/blow them out, yes there is a ton of dust in each one of them...

My desktop is watercooled. I keep the CPU three fan rad, the Nothrbridge/Mosfets two fan rad clean, and the reservoirs full and all is good.

You gotta take em apart and blow the chit out of em.
Shut it down when not in use or you wear out the fans and accumulate more chit.

I have seen people used compressed air to give it a quick dusting. If the dust is still caked on after that, then a more laborious approach may be required.
