Walk-in freezer air leaks
Does anyone know if there is anything to seal up seams inside of a walk-in freezer with out turning it off. I have a customer with an old walk-in that is building ice and can't turn it off.

I'm interested in hearing what jp and the others have to say. A guy I work with completely disassembled the ceiling of a couple leaking boxes and got it fixed that way, but it was obviously shut off.

I've seen a few half-way fixes, but shutting the box down is the best way to do it.

The proper way to do it would involve shutting the box down. The insulation is more than likely waterlogged and frozen. Can your customer rent a reefer trailer for a couple days while the box is being fixed?

I have a similar situation. We've had tons of techs look at it, no dice. I was actually going to put post a youtube vid here of the inside of the WI and see if anybody had ideas.

you can try to use some hardcast butyl tape. it has worked for me in the past. depending on how bad the box is
