If you get caught you are bound and gagged and forcibly moved to Ottawa!
The picture in my avatar is of the Houston Ship Channel and was taken from my backyard. I like to sit outside and slap mosquitos while watching countless supertankers, barges and cargo ships of every shape and size carry all sorts of deadly toxins to and fro. It's really beautiful at times.....just don't eat the three eyed fish....

maybe I am not processing the question correctly, but how do you install a hx upside down or any way incorrectly?
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and stamps EVER.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals". Their stated reason for this policy "... the animals become dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

My exact thought. I have replaced a lot of heat exchangers furnace and RTU's. I can think of no way could one be replaced upside down and be functional. If anyone wold care to enlighten me, please do so.
If you really know how it works, you have an execellent chance of fixin' er up!

Tomorrow is promised to no one...

I asked one of the senior techs the same question. Don't remember the furnace model but he said with this HX the burner ports and exhaust outlet ports are the same size holes. The chamber is still restrictive but he figures the guy musta been rushing and didn't pay attention. Since the holes all fit and lined up.......
Crazy that it'll actually go in!!

We found a furnace where a contractor did that on an ICP 80% gas furnace.
