Yea I’ll call and see what they say. I measured 650 ohms between the switch terminals and the toggle so 0.18 amps of current that I took. It probably wouldn’t have tripped a breaker but given an...

I'm pretty sure it came this way. I remember when the unit was purchased and as far as I know I'm the only one who's worked on it. To follow up, the short was in the drain valve bypass switch itself....
The pressure switch box is not bonded... it would be if they used metal conduit. The pressure switch box is mounted to a brass manifold via the pressure switches themselves which are not metal.
Sorry for the small image... here's the original
I'm looking for a ground wire in there because had there been one I wouldn't have been shocked when using the drain bypass switch. That was before...
Why is there no Ground wire in the pressure switch box of Market Forge M36G Boiler?
Thank you everyone for the input. Looks like there is a consensus on Cleveland. I am concerned about the high failure of the actuator that ECtofix mentioned. I had to replace the one on the Groen and...
Replacing a Groen NHFP(E)-4. Wondering what brand I should suggest from a maintenance and service point of view.
Thanks, that makes sense. This building does a lot of generator testing.
Looking for a link or PDF of the alarm codes for Hobart mixer model hl200, serial 31-1431-718, ml 134457. Complaint was flashing LU. Unit was unplugged when I arrived. Unit works fine now and I never...
Just because I was in an extra special ticked off mood I told my boss I wouldn't start it up until he had one of the electricians change the gfi outlet to a non gfi and install a ground fault...
I can't stand office workers. Lazy, fat, a-holes that spend the majority of their day complaining about something.
-"I'm too hot but the girl in the cube next to me is too cold. Can you turn up...
Yea I'm using part 47, and it's all in the right direction. Looking closer at the newer version they changed part 47 "rod-hub" to part 29 "lever-drive" and part 43 "slider-rod" is now part 31 "arm...

A little history... This machine burnt the conveyor drive motor. My best guess of what happened was a snowball effect starting with the screw and...
Was it a turbo-air? I saw one like that once. I hated that unit.
How do I get a master crimper license? Seems like a sweet gig.
Flux coated
Inspecting this ice machine and I could feel the play in the upper bearing, no need for pin gauge. Removed the auger and at first glance it looked ok. I shine a light down the evap and low and behold...

Thanks, this is what I was looking for.
This is exactly what I need them for, failed start components. I need a cheaper way to adapt a 3 N 1. The quick lugs are too expensive. I could butt splice the 1" lead from the overload, but I...
I run into the round pins more often but I'll take take either or both of you got them.
I'm looking for the solderless terminal connectors that will fit compressor terminals. I'm currently using the brass terminal repair kits, but it seems like overkill. Part number or link appreciated.
To answer some of the other questions, you do need a water seal if you plan to pull the auger. I had the same model with 1/16" of scale. I soaked the auger in a bucket of cleaner overnight and that...
This unit is so not worth re-engineering with txv' and or solenoids. I'm on ball with the recover and recharge. It'll have to wait until Monday though. Merry Christmas everyone.
Air entering condenser is 72, SH 37. New complaint but to be honest I don't know if anything has changed. The user happened to come in that morning to stock product during defrost. The thermometer on...
The only evap fan is running the right direction, no ice on coil, good airflow imo.
Turbo air M# TOM-40MB S#TMM4017Y011 (open air cooler 404a cap tube)
Product barely keeping temp, 40 - 41 and creeps to 45 during defrost. This was the only real complaint.
5 mins into cycle......
Thanks for the replies. I'll recommend Cleveland for the new equipment.
I'm looking to replace a 200,000 BTU's/hr input, natural gas steamer with a kettle take off. I want to have a separate kettle and steamer. What's your opinion on the different brands from a...
Looking for a wiring diagram. Anybody have one?
Thanks for the suggestion. Yea I have been to Alto shaam site and even called them to ask what they use. The tech support lady couldn't give me an exact part number but we were on the same page as...
Hey guys, I need help finding a flexible water supply hose for a new Alto-Shaam CTP7-20E install. My lines will be 3/4" copper and the fitting on the machine is 3/4" MGHT stainless. Manufacturer...
Agreed... Been running a few days now with no problems.
Update: based on the feedback I think this unit was some sort of custom install. There are quick connects to separate the drop in cold pan (I called it a cold rail before) Yes the cold pan was...
This unit has a cold rail.
Heck if I know, but I'm guessing it is still at the factory
Salad bar cooler no worky. "Oh you're here to fix that thing? I've worked here for two years and it's never worked." Out of gas, schrader bubbles, tighten, vac and charge. It worky now. Only now it...
The temp control is definitely a knob and yes it is soldered directly to the control panel board. I think you answered my question I was just hoping it was a $20 chip vs a $2k+ board.
We have a Groen Model# CC20-E Serial# C8948MS with an unresponsive cook temp control. I ran the diagnostics and when I get to the part where I have to turn the temp control knob one click at a time...
We have six like units in service. Typically if one goes down and needs an extensive repair we swap the head out with a spare for as little down time as possible. Considering the parts removed I'm...
It would be rebuilt as a spare and it would definitely get new refrigerant when it is put back into service, but I would have a harder time ensuring multiple drier changes once it was. Maybe I can...
We have an old ice-o-matic that was abandoned sitting in the back of our shop. I think it's an ICE1007HR, 404a, 208 3PH. It's been sitting there for 6+ months with the evaporator, txv and drier...
If a puller isn't available and turning the shaft doesn't free it, I try pushing the blade towards the motor and then sanding the area was the hub met the shaft.
Has anybody had luck using an ETC in this application? Jamb the sensor in the coil, set-point 18, diff 19. You might be able to experiment with the set-points and find a sweet spot.
Doesn't it suck in a bunch of air while you do that? Even if you run the vacuum longer after the switch why not avoid introducing non-condensables by making the switch while still positive? Or you...
How are you removing your liquid line hose while the unit is under vacuum?

Made me think of this... But google disagrees
Thanks for all the feedback. I agree that subcooling as a charging method on systems with a receiver is useless.
I need a rig that can fit in the bottom section of a rack and hoist out a 2 hp semi with only 2 foot clearance or less.
