What exactly are you taping? What type of duct? Answer that, and I will tell you the best method/tape to use.

That scrim tape (fsk) is for duct wrap. You want to use aluminium tape, then use a squeegee to apply, shoot some staples in the duct (outward spread) then another covering of tape.

What gauge manufacturer do you use?
