Go with oil, if oil is in-expensive where you live, keep it. It's a hotter flame, if you go with gas, you'll need a chimney liner, unless you go 90+. What will you do with your oil tank if you go...

I got an idea, you said the homeowners are the "new install", try taking the couch, tv, bedroom set, and/or throw rug off of that return air grill on the floor, yeah.. and check your air filter

Get a tigerloop, if it's water in your line, you'll see it, if it's red, you're good. Get your oil filter changed, pump strainer, and a new nozzle....

this is why when you're servicing a furnace you make sure you got a good draft and if the furnace looks a little old, CHECK FOR CRACKS IN THE HEAT EXCHANGER!!!,pull the blower, spray soapy water up...

why is there a liquid line filter dryer on the discharge line, shouldn't it be placed between the condenser and the metering device. Thats the liquid line. Just wonderin....
