well i run e-vision on a d630 on XP (with care 7 etc) with pcmia card with no issues,(used it a LOT) so its possible (except the usual crap with e-vision) Previously i had dual boot with 98 on a D600...

just copy the honeywell.ini file into the windows folder manually from your old machine to the new one.

if you have zone managers on the site you will need e-vision simple as that, you can translate a zone manager with care 7 but to update the translated files etc you need e-vision.
