One thing I've heard about the fitters, is that the training leaves ALOT to be desired.
I heard to stay away from the fitters and go with local 10. I'm not in a union, but then again, they're not looking for anyone now, they have lots of guys on the bench.
I started a new job, I was told after I started I'd have to purchase my own power tools, drill, sawzall, e.t.c. I was stunned. Granted I've only worked at one other place, but I thought the co....
Apologies channelislands. I'm going to be laid off and stress is eating a hole in my stomach. It's not about spelling.:o
Wow thump rrr, what a prick! Way to kick a man when he's down. You must be one of those major ass kissers, or most likely just naieve, and young.
Consider yourself very lucky to get additional...
Holy crap! What is it about hvac techs? Most of you can't spell profishintly, or put together a komplete sintance. It's no wonder folks think they can look down on us. You make us look like a bunch...
Good luck to you man. :(
Does anyone have any experience working for one of these shops? If so, what are they like? Tell me the good and the bad.
Holy Crap! Thanks for all the replies fellas. It seems I've got a bit of research to do. I'll tell you one thing though, I'll be damned if I'll spend more than 50 bucks on a flashlight.
Hi. I'm looking for a new flashlight to replace my AA mini maglite. It just isn't cutting it anymore, especially with these new led models out there.
Any good suggestions of your lights you're...
I'm not sure I understand. What does working 40 hrs and going home early have to do with a bonus?
Yeah, become a plumber instead.
My co. (the only one I've worked for) doesn't pay bonuses for sales leads? Is this common? What are other companies doing?
I had to borrow one for that one job. But since then I've lost like 3 auctions on Ebay for one of them sob's:mad:
The employees spend their check at home no?
So...I guess there are no Honda or Toyota factories in the U.S. huh?
Wow, I don't want any part of double flaring steel tubing:eek:
Now I need to buy a flaring tool for a job I have coming up quickly. I need some recommendations on your favorite flaring tool, must have sizes, e.t.c.
I don't want to spend more that 50.00...
Thanks..I might just use drywall screws instead of drilling pilot holes, or buying a special bit. I guess it would be ok as far as strength, appearance doesn't matter much either.
I have a question. I building a workbench and the plans call for counter-boring 1" holes, what do you use to do this? spade bit? It also is using mostly wood screws to fasten. It says to drill a...
The RIgid gives higer resolution on blackheads in your ear....:D
Men are visual:D
I agree with DPSwitch and NewOldTech. Don't tell anyone anything. In case you haven't noticed, companies aren't in the loyalty business. It's a money business. It's just my opinion, but I prefer to...
That's what I'm hoping to avoid by spending more upfront, I think this will last a while. This thing looks indestrucable. I think cockroaches would use this to hide in, in the event of nuclear war.
I've been using one all heating season. I've found a lot of cracks I otherwise would not have. I thought it would be a bonus to be able to show homeowners the evidence right on the screen, you know,...
