yesterday went on a call for a walk in freezer. the on call tech over the weekend had been out and said the ll solonoid was bad. i show up but find unit running at temp but starting to ice over coil...

i think you did the right thing but should order the new fan and come back and replace it

why dont they just use copper ?

as it turned out we changed the defrost terminators and the contactors. i think the contactors were sticking keeping the compressor running when it should have shut off

or both

did you ever check the super heat? or amp draw? does it have a head master or is it fan cycle delay?

check into service solutions group i think they are in your area,they do restaurant work but have great training

idk why he wanted to change the dt switch he didnt even test it but if it were bad it would not stop from defrosting would it ? it would just stop from terminating at temo right?

thanks guys.I was lost. we fixed it. we changed the time clock and the contactor it was pitted pretty bad and we also changed the defrost terminaion switch unit running good for now
