How would that affect performances? Does slower velocity equates to better cooling? Better humidity reduction? Better noise reduction? Lower electricity costs?
Also, would a larger media...

How annoying is it at the grille? Is it pretty noticeable? And did you say "increase" static pressure at the box? Don't we want to keep static pressure lower though? Please advise...

I've been looking into this option - replacing my 1" with a 4" media filter at the return grille.
Would this option at the return grille gives the same performance as the one at the blower? If...
I've been looking into this option myself - replacing my 1" with a 4" media filter at the return grille. Let me ask further on this matter: Would this option at the return grille gives the same...

I have no problem with the business, customer service, or the communication sides. My problem right now is technical. I am dedicating myself to learning thoroughly an area of HVAC each month until...

Well, which one is easier to use? Has better features? More reliable? I kind of like the Testo because it looks smaller, fitting the hand better and it has a nice hard case. The Fieldpiece looks...

I need one of these digital gauges so I can get better at my job.
Initially I was looking at the Fieldpiece, but now I'm leaning toward the Testo because it's smaller and comes with a hard case.
Haha.... come on now, there's lots of Goodman sold here in Houston. I see most of them in Apartments and such.

My boss taught me that charging a system about 70 when ambient is cool and 75 when ambient is hot, should be "within range" and system should work fine. I did asked him once why not charged the...

I get your math, hvacrmedic, but I'm not all convince. If you have a higher SEER, wouldn't you use less wattage per month?
A professor on mind did this math and came out about $150/month saving,...
Roboteq, why may I ask, about the txv as being preferred on mismatch?
amd, can those expensive air filters affect return air, thus affecting supply air?
Let me rephrase my question. If you're at a service call and determined that the HO needs a smaller/larger return air or additional return air, what are you using to base that on? And how?
There are lots of talk about additional return air from the experts here, but I have no clue what you guys are using to determine a need to additional return vent. I thought there should be only one...
WOW!!! kevster, is this list unique to Florida and surrounding areas. Here in Texas, never heard of these brands except Magtag and Frig.
