Yeah I know. Cameras are no joke at this place.
If a device goes in the door its required to get a authentic sticker for lens, check in/out, blah blah.

Yeah it was a government job.
I built the 6 machine frames to spec earlier this year, and just happened to walk past test and saw them running a cycle, which part I'm not sure.
We Do it all...
Bump.
We just finished a job for a client to test weapons.
Chamber is 17ft long, 3ft wide, 5ft tall.
3 evaporators with dual circuits of r23 each.
On the other end is 12 in total 60 hp 3...
Copeland and bitzer gets all horned up when we smoke a new compressor in test. They want it back badly to evaluate.
We have lots of solenoids controlling adjustable txvs, epr valves, bypasses,...
Guess i need to follow the schematics more closely!

Anyone interested in it?
I now work for a company that builds cascade test chambers.
And, well, I build the actual machine.
It's impressive what 3 pairs of 480v 3phase 60hp bitzers can do...
Any leaks?
I wanted to do it the first time. Boss said no. It'll take too much "extra" time.
Job security in my eyes !
/me shakes head
At least I know I'll never run out of work, right?

Post #13 explains a fun fact and opens a whole lot of possibilities.
I anticipate the next a/c call from the main office..... And only wonder....

It buffed out. Works perfect. For future reference, what is the best quickest method for recovering refrigerant that has so much moisture it plugs the service ports and binds/crunches the gauge set?...
I cut out both filters and installed a new set, again, one before coil and a suction one. I got more then 15mins of it running. I'll check this morning. I'm curious too.

I use a filter.

I found out a few months ago, as I transfered here a year ago, that to cut costs, the previous guy here had been charging empty lines with juice out of the recovered tank....
So who know what...
Compressor still buzzed and hummed. Just wouldn't turn. Hardtart trick was a fail, so at that point I was instructed to replace and put a new outdoor against the 30yo orginal acoil.
I laughed....
Sounds like a plan.
In the 80 I've replace, never had one this nasty. So I never gave though to have a setup for quick switching.
I guess a pointless post. I was just doubling checking...
Sorry guys, I don't make the call on the equipment.
Evan was evap, a- hole phone autocorrextion.
I'd like matching 410a, but they insist on dry r22 units, buy overpriced r22, and pump it...
Well, I knew I was in for a battle when I tried to recover, after trying to hard start the compressor with 3x the capacitors.
When recovering, the service valves kept icing with water and...
I do HVAC for a 1200 unit apartment complex. And 608 universal.

I think it's moisture.
Old 30year old system, Evan is good, compressor was seized. Installed new 1.5 r22 (don't ask, I know) unit.
Flushed with nitrogen and proflush.
Installed new...
before evap.
Solder 60ft down in high side at unit where they sweat in filters and connections at unit.

Forced air to heat house, nothing else.
Like to switch to a boiler, and heat nearly everything and then some.
Sent from my rooted HTC Supersonic using Tapatalk 2 Pro
I'd rather buy the boiler for $, cut my heating bill in half, or at least pay the same and enjoy it, and put up a 8000$ pole barn to make cash on the side instead of killing a kitchen I can already...
Zones in kitchen, dining, something with garage, dhw, and pool /hot tub.
I wasn't sure if short cycles from the unit being too large for a small heat demand would damage it....
Hopefully this is posted in the correct area, please move if needed.
I'm retro fitting my house with floor heat, wife insisted new kitchen, which I don't think is necessary, so I insisted on...
Interesting, thanks for the options
$8.50 a pound? We're buying 30# tanks from serval, listed at $740 a tank
Not my money, but still the point.

Probably a poor source to judge from,...
Hmmmmmmmm.
Aw man, I was hoping you'd shoot some $ values towards me.... Or a pm
Never have them reply with email. Pop3 and smtp and some kiddie scripts and they can easily and repeatedly pump emails to an address. Which is easily picked up with the @ logo with simple command...
Years ago I acquired a new condenser unit. The crate was damaged, and the company didn't want the risk of selling it and having problems. So, I ended up with it. So 10 years later, It's still...
Soap does work, I loosened a few connections to make sure I knew what to look for, although I've done the bubble test a million times.for tire beads.....
We're ordering a new slant coil.
Haha, I work at a 2000 unit complex. I know what your talking about.
Outdoor coils need to be cleaned. Indoor maybe if they're changing the filters timely, we change our filters every 6 months....
Big wigs wont accept a PO for stop leak.
I found if I pump her to 400#, it drops fast, say 30mins to 250#, and gets reallllly slow. A week it'll drop later to 100#.
Unfortunately we don't have...
Stop leak for hvac? Man...
Yeah, it pulls 250 easily. Ill suck it down again and leave the micron on and I have a stub 2" hose.
bubbled my hoses,
No
Everything is clean and dry. I sucked it down, added refridgerant, then hosed everything down with starting fluids to clean and dry it, ran it for 2 days non stop, runs like a champ, recovered...

Because the tentants called complaining its not cooling. And it wasn't. And I was only able to recover 4oz.....
Skymarks are I guess out of the picture, and no one makes a direct wall vent furnace/AC combo with 90% efficientcy, so secretary to bandaid what we got.
I have a 410a unit that's been seeping....
15-20# tops.,and I tease the valves at first, I don't whip them wide open from the get go.

I've always achieved 300-500. I don't think I have any leaks.
I was concerned of my method to keep vacuum sterile. I guess without oversized hose, it'll be turtle slow. Company wont budge on...
This one is rated for 400 psi, and I clean it everytime.

I change it everytime. Sometimes after the first vac of the triple idea. I just stuffed new rubber in all connections, I got greedy and got a few orings a bit too fat and they're really snug.
