I really like the gas stoves or fireplaces. They are pretty to look at, provide plenty of heat and can be thermostatically controled. (I've got one in my finished basement and it works great):D
Your old furnace was a lot less energy efficient and was was sending alot of your warm humid air up the chimney with it's flue gases. I'm not real familar with what fixes will work in your particular...
Equipment brand isn't that important. Use whichever contractor will give you the highest quality installation.(get references and ask to see pictures of thier work) Good Luck:D
I think the current rules are fine, but you'd think an NFL quarterback whose been in the league as long as Donovan Mcnab, should know the rules.

A lot of times if I'm installing a air handler in an attic I'll install filter grills on the return airs, after all do you really expect a homeowner to go up in the attic to change filters...
Cool toys! I've worked a lot of small shops over the years and it amazes me how many guys starting to outfit their shop go out and buy a jump shear. I always thought a better investment when starting...
I only use zips in an s cleat when doing change-outs and I can't get my drive turner on an existing plenum or duct, then its s's all around and a few zips to hold everthing together. But they are...
I carry three snips in my tote bag, Wiss M1's, M2's and Bulldogs. The bulldogs get used for cutting S cleat. I noticed some on this thread refer to S cleat as a lock but when I learned the trade lock...
