Usually though, if new construction issue was due to installation, diagnostic fee is refunded.

We have 24 hour service. Replacement and maintenance customers get warranty service after hours. New construction warranty issues pay diagnostic fee after hours, and repair is warranty.

I would learn service first. I think everyone should have to run service calls for at least a year before being allowed to install.

Recip compressors need them when matched with hard shutoff txv. Never had issues with scrolls.

I use a 6 cfm. But pump size doesn't matter as much as the size of hose you use. And core removers. I use 3/8" hose and pull 500 microns pretty quickly.

I do residential, and my inficon claims it detects 410, but i always pump refrigerant into condenser and search with r22 and nitro boost
