Did u happen to check the plastic cover plate that have a dozen or so screws in in that covers the actual secondary hx when I find tail piece issue I usually see that but not always

Ya the support bracket welds broke and that shaft was riding that bracket and just about cut in all the way thru. Made a ton of noise!! Wink! I have seen that style blower come loose in the middle...

does your unit look like this?

Could use a dial indicator and check to see if that shaft is bent as others stated. This the type that the two half's of the blower wheel are welded together? if it is that style then I have seen...

If u have acess to a sheave laser alignment tool I would use it that will cause vibration. Also u said u had new motor the motor could have a soft foot issue if u loosen one bolt at a time and run...
