Like I said the H-10 is, for me at least, the best at doing its job.
I’ve used the Accutech ultra sonic. It works great for my low pressure R-11/R123 machines.

A long time since this thread was active.
I now use a H-10 Pro or PM. It works as well as the original H-10 but is battery powered instead of corded.
Liquid leak detector still work well too....
I would think that the chiller in question is possibly a 19DG centrifugal. A VRT (Vapor Recovery Tool) and a number of low pressure tanks (#440lbs) are necessary in my neck of the woods.
A...
I just had my fit test this week. I keep mine with me in the mechanical room. I put it on when adding charge to a system or when the alarm is screaming. Our rules state that we have to have a working...
My adventure started around 1988. We would meet at the office/shop in the morning to get the marching orders, along about 11:00 we'd get a voice page saying please call the office. Go find a pay...
I'm sure that this has been beaten like a dead dog in other threads. I use 8 readings on unitary equipment and 12 readings on chilled water units to tell me what is wrong or at least where the...
I have both with me every day. I don't wear either on my arm or finger. I used to buy Timex Marathon watches, they are no longer made. It is a clip or a carabiner watch. Works well, takes a heck of a...
I think I recently read that the oil temp should be around 120*F. I did an oil change on a couple of them this week and found that temperature set point in the IOM. At least that is what pops up...
The premise of the thread is still a valid one. Its not a bad thing to revisit stuff that was taught to you years prior.

I'm sorry for the interruption but with a sentence beginning like that and with your name..., the question...
On a long shot, I'd do some research on their other equipment IOMs. Manufacturers have a habit of using the same parts on different equipment to save money. Good luck in your search.

Have you tried calling the manufacturer for the requested information? Generally manufacturers are very willing to send you in the right direction. You will have to replace the boiler at some point...
I would say that if you don't think that your present contractor can operate your system, then maybe it's time to look for a more capable company to take on that part of the system. You can't make...
Sporlan makes electronic HGBP valves, why would someone use a EEV as HGBP?

Ya, I probably have 50 or 60 birthdays spread around the internet. Whatever day that I sign up is my birthday for most of them.
I think the OP is more upset that he had to be vetted before...
I don't have the answer you are looking for. You really need to speak with the people who work on these conversions. Maybe in the controls section of this forum.

I have no clue. I look at the paper and pretty much forget what everyone gets an hour except for the Journeymen.

R-12 is still used. I have worked on a couple of machines recently that hold a couple thousand pounds of that type. The going rate for replacement R-12 is astronomical though.
R-404a is for sure a...
I don't know if this will help or scare you but this is what our apprentices have to pass to become journeymen.

You need a suction accumulator put on those coolers I think, its possible that the compressors are getting a slug of oil when they come out of defrost. Change the defrost times too, I'd start at...
Moisture infiltration would be a problem, expansion and contraction of the metal would be another problem. Stainless steel is a better material for both issues.
Most greenhouse applications I've...
With a 250-300*f. supply air temperature, there is no way around having specially made duct and insulation. The way I see how it would look in my head is (This is a WAG) stainless duct with no less...
1.) The cooling tower should stop if the chiller is stopped unless it is sufficiently cold enough outside to run the water through an auxiliary heat exchanger for the free cooling. The cooling tower...
Nope, you have the correct numbers which were used as the factory password. If neither of the 2 worked then someone changed the password. You'll most likely have to call the factory service...
If they can not find the leak then I would be looking for someone else to do the work, there isn't much there that can't be gotten to. Keep the coils clean and don't use chemical cleaners on the...
Check the never wet fail videos. It appears that it may not work as well as it has been advertised. Great technology but may need some more work or better preparation before spraying whatever you...

More information is needed to diagnose. Put up a full set of readings and someone will be able to help with the diagnosis.
Naval jelly does wonderful things when it comes to removing pockets and pits of rust. I wouldn't give any guarantee on the repair for any length of time, though I have done plenty of these type of...
The phase reversal alarm just means that the computer did not see a pressure differential on the 2 transducers when it attempted to start what ever compressor that alarm is associated with. ...
Alright, I'm going to tell you the secret to changing belts on this type of motor assembly. I don't want it getting around though since I have the patent on this very technical way of changing the...
Everybody should have one of the originals. Great for a quick cast on the way home.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe that the calcium chloride is less corrosive and works better at lower temperatures than table salt. And I don't ever recall anyone using sodium chloride in any...
Then you need to get the people who installed it to come out and make the issue go away.
...Ron
First thing to do is to calibrate the diffuser ring drive motor, if that doesn't do the trick then the potentiometer usually has to be replaced and recalibrated. Good luck.
...Ron
Remember too that you can use a salt solution (calcium chloride) to bring the fluid temperatures down below freezing temperatures.

Ya, I have one of them there Crescent 2" x 2' long wrenches on my truck too. I keep it in a bucket along with the 3/4", 1" breaker bars, and the larger than 1" combination wrenches. Big equipment...
Give this area a try. I didn't look for your particular equipment but it looks like the right area to start your search.

Sure, use a 45 degree flare coupling, they come in sizes generally up to 3/4 o.d. and I'm sure there are larger AN sizes.

What power supply (voltage?) do you have into the building? If you have 208-230/3phase into the building then I would suggest selling those rtu's as it will cost a boatload of money to convert them...
You have the control book. Under Maintenance the MSTSLAVE has the notes and parameters that need to be changed to have one chiller lead and the other slaved. It appears that the slave chiller always...
I don't think that there is really much to detail once the chiller is up and running. Clean tubes, clean water, clean towers, the cooler the condenser water is (to minimum temp) the more efficient...
Have you checked to see if they are both configured to be a master/slave combo? You can use the scrolling marquee to find the mast/slav and configure to run 2 machines with one being the controller....
I have the Cooper SH66, my second one (first one in black case was stolen)for about 10 years now. I used to use the FLuke TK80, that went bad after about 10 years of beating on it. I still use the...
Fortunately we have tools to keep this from happening. Using an acid neutralizer and a dryer or replaceable core dryer with acid removing capacity will pretty much solve those issues for the most...
Maybe I should have explained what a tandem compressor is. York builds or used to build condensers with tandem compressors that always run in tandem, or at the same time when a call for cooling is...
