Not upside down, both the air handlers are installed correctly but one problem, you can not access the blowers.

Looks like benncool knows his airhandlers.

I think the home owners need an edjumacation.

These units are installed on opposite sides of a stage. Were blue prints involved?

Sounds to me like the homeowner was trying to save money converting a straight electric a\h and straight cooling condenser to heat pump without replacing the entire system. May not be previous...

I would call the contractor and disuss it with them. If they refuse to bring it up to code, then I would contact the Licensing and Regulation department. THIS is a disgrace to the HONEST contractors.

I can't remember the brand name of the Plenum/coil combo but some of you probably have seen them. Checking a unit, it was frozen. Shut off condenser and returned the next day.
