When you quote a flat rate repair, that is the price, period. If a compressor changeout takes you longer than it should then you lose money. Sometimes you do lose doing flat rate.

That trap is probably not deep enough, and the pipe that is spraying water should be capped. The reason its spraying is b/c supply air is blowing it out of the pipe.
