    Unbelivable Airflow

    I've always used 1" pleated filters, until I got 2 Honeywells (4/5" respectively). The T-stat read 76*, installed the filters and turned the system on. In only 15 minutes, the T-stat read at its set...

  5. Finally broke down and purchased 2 Honeywell 4" and 5" Return Grille Filters

    Both were <$ but I'm hoping they make up in convince and better air flow than those 1" pleats I've been using.

    Need help ASAP

    2 severe T'storms in an hour, power blinked but didn't go off. Fan runs, outside compressor does not turn on. A/C ran great until storms came thru. Flip the main power switch to outside...

    The consensus on the max MERV 1" filter from most pros is a MERV 8. I''ve followed this religiously w/my filter purchases for my Amana ASZ 18 HP.

    Now, I'm considering moving up the filter grilles...

    I run most time in: Hold Temp
    Never run the fan unless its dead of winter or cool, dry fall day.

    It feels nice when the RH outdoors is low and it keeps a little air moving through the house....
