Since it is not an expensive unit I'd much rather have them compromise on the cabinet vs. it's innards. Once it's installed the fact that it is thinner becomes insignificant.

I've had the downflow version (93%) for 1 1/2...
I've had the downflow version (93%) for 1 1/2 yrs. now with no issues, it works well. I'd buy another if I had to do it over again.

2 CPH will make it run longer and be off longer. The unit removes humidity best when it has been on for some time and worse in the transition periods. Don't know if it will kick in the second stage...

At full speed, 1000 CFM, you'll see 10 flashes.
At reduced speed, 850 CFM, you'll see 8 flashes.
