You won't be confused for long, just pissed off! Tradesmen are national, lower than apprentices. We just hired one,hope he has alot of experience, because I'm taking mine and heading out the door!!...

Dash pots were used on older chillers as an overload device. They were filled with oil, and were adjustable according to the motor amperage. You won't see one on a newer machine.
