Sorry, just got back from another short vacation. See post #1 of this thread, for a non condensing Noritz pool heater installed outside, you'd have to use polypropylene glycol, but it basically bolts...
Exactly right! Most products these days are pretty reliable, and having a real pro design and install your heating/cooling system will guarantee satisfaction. Reading product reviews is not the whole...
Sorry so late, was on vacation... If you can get someone there to rebuild the pump/blower assembly for you, bearings are NSK 6000V and impeller & seal kit is (Gorman-Rupp Industries) GRI part #...
It is probably too late for this response but here goes... That pump is GRI Series 149, motor bearings are NSK 6000V (a big job to replace) and impeller & seal kit is GRI part # 02501-245 (easy to...
If you google "air to liquid heat exchanger" you'll find a multitude of possible suitable replacements. These are very common in the solar and outdoor wood/coal/used oil fired "alternative" boiler...
I know several people who have tried Princess Lines 7 day round trip cruise from Seattle (WA) or Vancouver (BC) and they seemed happy with the price and amenities. My wife and I may try it in 2014,...
Also looks like a bit of corrosion due to some high humidity or perhaps liquid contact? Water and electricity don't mix well...
That looks a lot like my old 1966 Suzuki X6 Hustler (250cc 2 stroke with oil injection)...
Was recently informed that the Heat Transfer Products (Massachusetts) model "Elite Plus" boiler apparently uses this ebmpapst LambdaConstant blower and gas valve system, and there may be other North...
This is a burner technology that uses electronic motor speed control, electronic gas valve flow control and a mass air flow sensor to continuously vary the air fuel mixture for optimum combustion...
So I guess after all this time that no one in North America is into this stuff? Sort of disappointing...
Yes they are expensive to install, but if they are maintained properly, they seem to last forever. I currently have two 50K BTU forced air furnaces (93%) and two 40 gallon gas fired hot water heaters...
Yes! Was fed by a boiler system and basically was terrific...
X2! In a previous life myself and a co-worker were training about 140 NorTel employees (10 per session) on optical fiber multiplexors, we told them that to be competent you should understand and use...
Have a Rinnai tankless in our investment house, have two regular gas tanks in our own house, and had an indirect in our old house. Out of all those, would have to say the indirect gave the most...
Well, the relatives in Anaheim have them, I'm going over to the local electrical wholesaler this week and see if they carry them, just curious...
Well, closer investigation on my part seems to indicate that they are legal here, but very rarely used and are sort of frowned on. Personally have never ever used one, and this thread was actually my...
OK Folks...
I guess we are not as advanced as you in the USA, have not encountered any dual breakers that only contact one phase, one more lesson learned...
I looked at my Alberta Electrical...
In Canada & USA, each alternate vertical position is normally opposite phase, horizontals are same phase, so that picture the OP posted should work as 240VAC unless there is something else wrong. The...
Not just medicine, the USA is always on the hunt for talent that someone else paid for, right now is a bad time for trades. On the other hand, Canada is just the same and just as fussy about people...
Sort of looks like something a friend built, he called it "The Drop of Doom"...
Good job!... :)
So I know your answer is 4 years old, but have recently become verrrry interested in the Lennox Pulse technology and of course always have been interested in the Amana HTM heat exchanger. Care to...
Yes, a bad neutral will really make your day...
Well, if you have got a NAIT or SAIT diploma plus a Red Seal, you may just outdo our "cousins" in terms of qualifications, so why not try?...
Just some old fart... "Who doesn't know anything"
Have a run over to http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis and click on "temporary nonimmigrant workers" and you'll come up with a lot of information. It is however unlikely that you'll be accepted...
Besides the MSO fix, you can also use most digital camera software, I use "ZoomBrowser EX" from Canon, select the pictures you want to mail, and click on internet, then you can size them/shrink them...
Like that "BlackNet native iPad typewriter" and the smile on the dog's face. Pretty funny and creative...
Whoa!
My brother and I are coming over to help with your "igloo" duct work job, we just need some airfare money... :)
Good luck, sounds like your customer needs some too...
Never heard of it... for BBQ or just plain grillin' ?
Me too!
I would measure the broken pin with a vernier caliper/micrometer, this is like asking what threads/bolt sizes are on Ford Mustang 5.0 L engines. I found imperial (SAE) threads with metric heads,...
Illinois is closer to you, Idaho is closer to me... I'd suggest to pick the job you like in a climate you like. I've been to the other 2 states, and both are a tad warm in the summer for me...

I decided to wait before purchasing the 5 to 10K and bought a FLIR i7 on a package deal, and yes, the FLUKE software is more sophisticated than the basic FLIR, but it depends what you are doing with...
I am so sorry to hear of your situation, as I'm sure so many others are here, please just remember that you are not alone, we are all here with you although not in body, at least in spirit...
You...
Good for you!
Sorry you are dealing with someone like that, not all architects are bad...
An accurate paper (and electronic) trail is in my experience the "killer app" when threatened with...
Wasn't trying to be smarmy, just had never heard of that arrangement before, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist somewhere in the wild world of electrical wiring. I came across a situation...
Of course we all know that we should be worried about energy efficiency, even the media and politicians. Unfortunately I'll bet the granite, undermount huge granite sink, and fancy German fixtures...
Hi Tuba... glad you got your problem sorted out
SandShark... Just noticed your attachment, are not the phases the same in the horizontal direction (for vertically installed panels) or is there...
In my case you are preaching to the choir, but most of the congregation aren't listening and right now don't care. I had a load calculation performed (by hand and scientific calculator) back in 1982...
I don't live in California, but visited many times our relatives in Anaheim, and tend to agree with your assessment...
Perhaps you folks in California can enlighten me, just curious.
I looked over that pdf the OP posted, and noted a basement and wall construction insulated with R19 and ceiling of R30, some double...
Just noticed this ancient thread had been revived, my son-in-law took his one year program at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT)... a video is at...
Google on "Lockout Tagout" and you'll find a bazillion of them... well maybe not quite that many, but lots for sure...
In Texas, you are right, A/C is a must. When I was in Waco though, we had "swamp cooler" air conditioning and it worked pretty good as long as you sprinkled the sheets too! Brazos River lots of fun,...
When not wearing the granddaughter's tiara (from another thread), wear a Chinese knockoff of a Tilly, we call it a "Chilly"...
Thanks very much. Am going to get some of these LM34's and play with them a bit...
Perhaps if you google "Thermistor vs thermocouple" and then look at the "physicsforums.com" > Electrical Engineering discussion, you may get some good ideas. Have used thermistors in control/safety...
What are you trying to do? There are 2 types of thermistor, one that decreases with increase in temperature and one that increases with increase in temperature. Be a bit more specific about your use...
Generally, every alternating breaker (vertically) is a different phase, while horizontally, they are in phase. Therefore, your breakers to be all the same phase should be fed from every 2nd one...
You know, I never noticed the date on your original post... sorry! I'll try not to respond to those 2 year old ones... :)
