Dang, that's what I get for trusting the first Amazon review I saw which said "made in China". Upon looking deeper, you're right;most answer confirm it's USA made.
I'll do some more thinking and...
That's what I was initially looking at.
Made in China, from what I can tell.
Thanks for the replies.
My 3-in-1 bender bit the dust and I'm in the market for a new one. I already have a ratchet style for 1/2" and up, but I'd like a really good quality lever bender for 1/4" and 3/8" copper. Any know...

Can you condense your learnings from all the homemade hoses and the smaller Swiss (?) 1CFM pump I saw you using a few years back?
After a decade of using a TEZ8 and Appion 1/2"...
Yep, beats the whole lot IMO. (Previous Express)
It's not convenient for my typical refrigeration calls. The set up time and then dealing with dead batteries and connection issues. It's pretty sweet when you get everything up and running - I...
I would have gladly sold you my Iconnect setup - enough for 2 circuits. I don't use it anymore.
I haven't found anything better than a Sortimo T-boxx.

Thanks guys, I'll skip the liquid nails and sheet metal screws for now. ;)
I've seen this done before on coolers, but before I personally do it I wanted to check with others.
I have a WIF that needs a new Evap, and drilling new holes through the ceiling would be...
I agree that showing sat. temp and basic SC/SH on each individual gauge would be great. No fancy screen, just a basic one like the Digicools have. Especially if it had some sort of bar graph to...
People don't know how to properly name threads, so as to not waste other people's time?
I agree.
Thanks for the informative review. I'm strongly considering these, but just from their website it appears the app is very subpar. There are hardly any photos/videos of the tool, let alone the app. ...
Want to thank kamersoutdoor for a great deal and for being an all around great guy to deal with.
I'm a Digicool guy but wanted to give this new technology a go and see what I thought. Only used...
I don't know what your climate is like where you live, but I would set it for 140-150 SCT.
If you already have ports on both sides of the system, I wouldn't waste time with equalization and cap tube diameter. Just take a subcooling measurement.
Although my Victor set has been very good to me, I'm finding their numbering system and website extremely hard to follow.
I've never really liked having the valves at the bottom of the handle...
Maybe this is why my experience was bad.
Seems the Uniweld 17-50 is a very popular tip around here. Does anyone know off hand if Uniweld stuff will fit on my Victor setup? (100 handle)
Or maybe...
Problem: Brazing 1-1/8 or larger requires a lot of heat. Two torches on the joint isn't always an option, and I don't think a #2 tip should be used past 7/8 copper unless absolutely necessary.

Would like to get away from the pen/paper method of doing inventory.
I have a spreadsheet with just the inventory items we stock on the trucks. (truck stock)

I have been looking and playing around with ServiceM8. By far it is the best software I've seen that is reasonably priced, fairly intuitive and also a little bit customizable.
A big plus is that...
If you're looking for magnetic nut drivers (especially the long-shaft variety), the only options I know of are Klein and Hilmore.
I'm pretty much done using Kleins after breaking or wearing out...
Jim,
PM sent.
It could be 40 cut in, but I'm pretty sure the tech at Randell told me it's 41.
He also said if you don't want to wait for it to come down in temp over multiple cycles, remove the probe completely...
Funny, I just made a post in the Pro's forum last week about this same type of table.
What I learned was that the OEM cold control has a cut in of 41, with a max differential of 19F.
Personally,...
Hi Jim. I'm about an hour south of Cleveland. Near Wooster.
I believe I met your son a few years back at United in Akron- Nice guy.
What part of Cleve is Imperial based in?
What did you mean...
Perhaps not the best place to post this, but I'm considering the iConnect so I'll post anyway.
I'm a commercial Ref guy, but we also do commercial HVAC for a lot of restaurants, etc.
I've always...
Thanks guys.
I suppose in the real world the refresh rate is probably fine.
I have gotten REALLY used to my AK900s though. To the point where now I dislike the "semi-circle" analog-style-guage...
I've just read up on this thread, and I have a couple questions. (I'm new to the whole iConnect thing)
1) I'm assuming the data updates every few seconds on the app - is this too slow for...
I believe what he is saying is that you want to lower the airflow across the evaporator coil. With less air moving over the coil, it will allow the coil to get colder (which means it has a higher...
Actually, I had forgotten about that.:o
The worst I've had are where the ice machine is installed on top of a soda dispenser, and there is a partition wall coming down from the ceiling right in front of the ice machine .

Do any of these freezers have doors that open to the outdoors?
Do they open into a W/I cooler? Or to a conditioned space?
Until you lose them.
Replaced one of these under warranty a year back, on a pizza prep table. Delfield if memory servers.
Why anyone who owns an AK900 would buy the Hilmor manifold is beyond me.;)
I thought the thing looked like a cheap toy sitting on the counter.
Love this pump.
My company has about 20 of the oil cartridges total. When enough get dirty we refill them all at once from a gallon.
I always keep 3-4 on the truck. These guys come in real...
Love mine. It's one of the least skittish scales I've used. The weight will be displayed without a lot of back and forth, and is very accurate.
The other benefit is that I think (?) it's...
Since we know POE can hold onto moisture so well, do we need to revise the criteria for service work on these systems?
For instance, on small reach-in refrigeration equipment (less than a pound of...
joeyd has always been extremely helpful with my questions. Highly recommended.
Cool video guys!
Does ICanHas go out of his way to make things difficult, where it's not necessary?
Glad to see things finally moving in this direction. :)
So after a quick skim of this thread:
- No point having nitrogen and CO2 on the truck. Use CO2 since it can also be used unregulated on drains, condenser coils.
- CO2 (just regular grade from...
At 0*F ambient if the unit has been off for a while and acclimated, it will only get started if your LPC is set for cut in about 6 PSI. :eek2:
Cool, thanks!
Thanks for the help guys!
So:
Typical food storage (cooler): 25* SST
Beer storage: 20* SST
Now what about cold plate evaporators:
1) Small reach in ice cream case/ice cream topping case?...
I have a question regarding the cap tube calculator that Ice posted above.
I'll be replacing the cap tube on a True keg cooler next week. I was going to just try and duplicate what the factory...
Fantastic price on the Bluvacs, I'm in. Happy Thanksgiving!
