Eventually this will be handled by a pro, but at this point while house is still on paper I was wondering, what kind of system would you guys recommend for NJ shore house ( hot and humid summer)....
Thanks,
Is one way better then other or just depends on location of the outlet? In other words if 3 way moved away from the window and changed into 4 way would result be the same ?
Can someone explain to me when to use 4 way grille and when 3 way? In this particular I case I need to replace old rectangular grille in the ceiling tile right above the window to the new 8 by 8 one,...
OK, but is it worth re-ducting? Cost vs benefit.
Is this why bathroom has recirculating fan and no exhaust?
Office space I'm looking to acquire for my business, has "interesting" HVAC design. Heat-pump located in the closet with supply runs going to different rooms ceilings, which looks normal, but returns...
zoning is ewc and York 9v furnace
I don't mean any disrespect but is my question really brand dependent?
anybody?
Isn't that what variable drive does? Ramps up and down depending on static pressure?
Originally had zoning system installed with barometric bypass on the single speed air handler, now after replacing it wit variable speed one i have a question about need of the bypass. Sometimes I...
So stat supposed bring first stage on based on humidity alone, correct?
So t-stat does not turn Ac on on humidity alone? Only overcools when there is call for AC? Is this correct?
It is York 9V not sure what the number is
Can someone explain how to use dehumidification option on this Tstat.
It is connected to var speed 2 stage HP. Dehum option set to 379-1 dehumidify with AC.Installer Test 6 runs AC @ lowest speed....
Thanks guys
Dash - I have recently installed York 2 stage var speed dual fuel HP - 2 stage natural gas furnace, do not know what a model number is, plus it's zoned and controlled by 3 different,...
So there is a thermostat which will stage down at some point during the same cooling cycle for?
Is that how all that advanced technology being utilized or am I missing a point of 2stage var speed...
so who or what exactly is doing up and down staging, thermostat?
Can some one explain to me proper order of operation of the 2 stage var speed system to use all the benefits of it?
For example: Thermostat calls 1st stage, 2nd, then off, again 1st, 2nd off...
In the setup you are describing where unit goes in and out of the 2nd stage but stays in 1st, How does that happens? Air-handler does that or thermostat by diff in temp or outside temp?
I have a...
Wouldn't you want to dehumidify basement if it is more humid and put dehumidification control in there?
No, I have 2 units 3 and 5 ton. 3 ton unit zoned into Master Bedroom , rest of upstairs and basement ( 1 ton each)
This was done to avoid squeezing 5 ton of air into the basement
So where is a prefered location basement or second floor?
Given the choice where would you place humidistat( or replace existing thermostat to the one with dehumidification control) ?
I have York 2 stage variable furnace with HP zoned between 2nd and...
Can anyone explain to me what it means, installer said it is about half from what it supposed to be. I am getting a new furnace put in and tech said that it could be caused by different reasons but...
Anyone? Bad Idea?
I have an ability to run my furnace blower @ low speed and AC @ 1st stage, would that be same thing as running separate dehumidifier, similar or not even close?
I know that and I will, but your "universal" answer does not really answer anything
What is the correct way to air condition the basement? I was thinking of the separate zone, not sure about returns ( high, low, no returns ) and the fact that it almost always below 70 degrees so if...
Why do you need dehumidifier with AC?
I'm Looking for suggestions for humidifier type and brand.
I have 2 heat pumps and house is about 3400 sq ft
HAs anyone even used fanhandler?
Good idea, bad idea, any comments?
sorry it's ets060
Just checked the breaker it's 50

Did it always do this? If so, your service capacity may be on the low side so that when the compressor reverses, the additional amp draw is taxing the panel. Does it happen all the...
It is york Stealth HP, i don't know how it shifts
About weak ground: doesn't it use 2 hots and no ground?
No actually it's 2stage HP with gas AUX (3rd stage)
No not really, you are saying that depending on ESP sometimes 1st stage is faster then 2nd and sometimes is slower?
Is it normal all the lights dim then my HP goes to the 2nd stage? And electrical panel makes some noise also for a few seconds; breaker does not get hot though. It's 5 or 4.5 ton HP 40amp breaker
I think you guys misunderstood me; it is more of a general question blower speed relatively to the staging. In other words should 1stage be slower then 2nd stage and what about 3rd stage relatively...
Are you talking about 50% rule?
I have 3 stage(dual fuel) york heatpump with lennox version of Honeywell 8000 thermostat.
The question is do I set back my T-stat which eventually triggers 3 stage-gas (which is really expensive)...
variable speed is not an option furnace is already inplace
I'm talking about comparing one to another, on the same furnace with the same ductwork depending on the stage what is the order?
For...
In what order would you connect blower to your system:
Blower speed options are LOW, MED LOW, MED HIGH, HIGH
Eqipment options are 2 stage heatpump/AC with gas AUX
