So many are bad the ship date is 10 sept!
Is been installed less than 1 year.
Model is 48TC. I guessed 10 hours for it all
410 recover/welding/recharge. added extra
for new freon of course!
FIXED the first control board was bad!! #2 worked fine..
Nothing like bad new parts to mess up a day huh!!
HSI is 80 ohms.. no voltage at ignitor plug
used test light to trace 24v at all the safeties, only 3 and pressure switch and the stack switch.
replaced control board....same results.
yes honeywell 5 or 6000 cant be beat!!
floor joists are flush with TOP of foundation. 1 1/8 or such plywood floor is on top of joist, so ALL must go through
concrete unless you can go up an interior wall and over at the ceiling joist!...
So new construction. floor is AT the foundation so there is no
side wall to run venting through? Just build a chase to run it up and out the wall?
Thats my great idea???
Oh 1 1/4 gas pipe through...
Very common issue.. uneven temps, the cold air doesnt want to go up like the heated air. One degree an hour is common if properly sized. So it appears your getting good performance. If you want it...
yes its a 5 year old dan foss..
Heat works great but the feeder tubes frost in cooling?? 65/165 as I recall.
So I figure the EXP Valve is Tango Uniform..
Any other pointers would certainly help....
NOPE 24V DOESENT CARE ..COURSE THE SCHEMATIC IS GONE TOO??,,,24 IS A SERIES CIRCUIT and different timing is inside each
The sequencer is a switch... on the hot side.. common would go to the other end of the heat strip. with common on one side and hot on the other you will blow the breaker when the sequencer closes!!...
New board requiring the flame sensor kit.. It wouldnt work. Change control board twice, fix by sanding off the burner. Pulled the burner and cleaned the end and the inside of the lip. Lots of white...
Answer: my yellow jacket manifold went bad.. rebuilt time!!
So MY OWN install, I evacuated after pressure testing with nitro. HUH?? It would suck in but 6 oz of R22. Well it was record high forecast for today. 95 in Portland, OR. So I thought I would pump and...
just google ac motor power comsumpsion.. Small than designed motor will overheat and
fail. Load has to be match to the mechanical and electrical load...
One horsepower is 640 watts as I recall.....
took the drawing I needed.....
something loose on the meter outside most likely..
They usually will come out ASAP..
They just dont like big booms or
DO IT NOW>> they respond 24-7 if a serious leak..
Knowing the sequence of operation is a big help..you figured out..on cooling the combust
blower shouldnt be running.. I'd have run it in heat mode too.
You did verify that the combust blower...
POKED Around on the web and found a couple of drawings..
I should be able to figure it out..
new relay. 6 connections 2 coil one normal open and closed..
I've got a plan now!! [way scary huh!!]...
I did put in a standard one.. no change
I tried to straight line the wiring, but that didnt help..
seemed simple enough
2 coil wires
1 speed heat/1 speed cool. Its like one leg of the 220 is in...
ITS got no schematic. the relay label is gone. York tech support..
we dont have the info its too old...
Fan runs all the time. I think its misswired.
model MCB36-6B SN --JM17753B or the...
Wow!! well the air temp wont be a fire hazard.. but I hope they are all in interior walls.
Otherwise the heat loss will be really terrible..
SO the registers are in the walls, with no "boot" metal...
On average the TECH can install, but the INSTALLER usually doesnt have the
experience, knowledge or tools to be a TECH. Doing something by rote is
nothing like troubleshooting.
I usually find the control board is cutting off ignition too soon b4 the the valve opens.
There needs to be reasonable overlap between gas and lighting device.
4 seconds anyway...
Never had the...
Best to have your pro technician have a look. If not, more damage can
Smart homeowners know when to call in the experts!
Seems every inspector has a favorite area.. Maybe electrical, or venting
sometimes it depends on their workload, if they have 14 places to go to,
including travel time they may be onsite for 5...
Heat pumps move BTU, the temp is affected by many factors, If not properly charged
duct configuration and insulation of them. Air speed.. Each system has a totally different
duct setup Im sure.....
part was defective... bad before/repalce part now works... There wasnt a model B on his truck..
1. I'd start with the compressor rating and see if it REALLY 36K btu.. manufactures are
often off of the rating with smaller compressors.
2. Course you cant test the AC cause its too cold??...
To be usually legal in most counties the manufactures manual is the BIBLE.
Some insurance companies check to see if equipment was permited after the fire....
but im sure your going to get a home...
Some are designed with better access for service. Some gas valves
are challenging to change when that comes around.
Course cash payers are the best!
My favorite light with magnets on the back...
Sounds like a problem..
out door fan should be running anytime you hear "buzzing"
If not, please prevent damage by turning off at the thermostat
and calling your service provider.
Dont wait as...
Hi GUys I need a schematic for an air handler or electric furanace
There is none on the unit!! thanks.
DON in PDX
Thanks LB!! Now I can think aobut it a bit more.. Im sure the TXV is TU though..
Look at the charts, My suction never gets up to even 100 thats like very close to freezing.
and the TXV and feeder...
The chart says at x liquid line temp 250 psi
in the cool mode.. In heat mode I expected more than 99 degrees heat. Double wide
manufactured home. I've seen Rheem heat pumps put out 130 air.
Its aged and the replacement is so much.. Give them the choice.
After 8 years most are on borrowed time. A few will make 10 years..
So I went on a "not working very well heat pump" call
Suct was 45 high side was 200psi OAT 70 degrees.
Liquid line was 75, chart says HIGH side should be 250 so I
add 4 lbs to...
will know if its bad most likely
unplug fan for 3 minutes...
I vote for the fan..
Call your Pro Tech, he should have the parts "on the truck" or at the shop!!
Everything wears out, breaks or quits.. it just questiion of WHEN!
Request a pro with EXPERIENCE with ECM motors if thats what you have..i
I hate to say some techs are behind the 8 ball when it comes to the latest
[and they've been around for a long time now..]...
ok YOUR 7 X 20 =144 SQ INCHES THATS APPROX 600 CU FEET/MIN
The 7 x 15 can push about 420 cu ft..
What size is the return????
You sure cant get 4 ton through that!! 1600 CFM required...
REMOVE THE HEAT!! How?? Return on 2nd floor. Needs better circulation.
More cooling really wont fix the airflow issue.. In fact if your "oversizing" the duct system. It will make the system short...
i DONT KNOW WHERE YOUR at, but here in Oregon, It has to be inspected
by the county?? working without permits can be a fine in the thousands of dollars. Certainly that company wouldn't want that to...
You should call and review with the service manager. Was it inspected?
Just ask when was your appointment scheduled to take care of their
install error. The oversight may have been two installers...
Need more info.
In the crawl space? Attic or where??
Is it water flow?? or only when the furnace is running?
Furnaces can make sounds when "off"
Check your thermostat and confirm the fan...
From Parts in the furnace to thermostat are all in question. Call your

long and short screws.. Just think/look whats behind this???\
Lots of great advice in this column
But larn THIS LESSON "You will become what you think you are!!"...
Yep it could be instant trip because of a short. Electrical failure can happen ANY TIME. New outa the box could be bad too. Thats why companies
garr their equip.
Sometimes there is compromises cause of mechanical conditions.
I've seen coils on the return side cause there was so space to move the
furnace down to make room for the coil.
Does it make...
Thats what I see from here!! So confirm that there is more than one
return? It it a ranch or big up/down layout?
poor man test-- is tape a piece of paper at the register and measure how
