Im going with the t87k. I can just picture him messing with the heat and cool switches on the slaves
Sooner or later that old control has got to die
If switching subbase doesnt matter if it is there or not, now Im thinking maybe I should leave it there in case he switches the control panel to a EWC.
Thanks.
I was going to try it anyways, as long as with master calling for cooling and other zones open for cooling, I should be all set. I just didn't want to waste customers time. I will try one...
I went to a new customer today. he has a 3 zone nat gas warm air furnace with straight ac. Problem was bedroom zone thermostat intermittently flaking out. I looked at zoning system. He has a 3 yr old...
First thing I would do is check to make sure that little stainless steel flapper isn't getting hung up on lint that's probably caked up on that old Wayne burner.
I always get rid of them and adjust...
Thanks.
I contacted Goodman tech support and it is a 30/5 370 volt cap.
Anybody know what size dual capacitor a Goodman ck24-18 condenser takes.
Two units. Both R22 systems. Approximately 10 years old.
One has a 30/5 the other a 40/5.
For all I know they both have...
On a side note with my 2012 E250 I had noticed that the tail lights were not operating. Under the drivers side rocker panel a wire was broke. The wire was pulled really tight which probably caused it...
I guess we now know where the source of bubonic plague will be coming from this year.
Everyone wants cheap.
Years ago most people went to the same job until they retired and the first and only house they bought, lived in it till they died.
That was my grandparents generation. Born...
I read somewhere that if you gang up caps if you don't have the right size to get the correct capacitance then you are actually better off because of more surface area to dissipate the heat.
But...
So is someone going to move the condenser or just say screw it? You were the last one there so its on you now.
I would have taken one look and not put my gauges on it but have customer sign off that...
He's better than mr zero.
I use a single flare 45 degree angle block flaring tool for oil. It has lasted me 13 years so far. It is a Ridgid ratcheting type.
I bought a 45 degree angle Rothenbeger for double flares in case I...
So did you sell her an AC system?
Or did you tell her to wait a week and it will be 60 degrees again?:grin2:
Yes. Leaky AC supply ducts in the attic allowing too much air removed by the return air from living space.
Sorry. I had a few brews when I answered the question the first time.
It sounds like the chimney liner is oversized now that the old furnace and vented water heater is removed. I would have a first...
"I just had my carpets cleaned, be careful".
"Whats wrong with teflon tape on oil pipes"?
"Never mind I'll install it myself".
"How much to install my Home Depot oil tank"?
"I've got the oil draining into a pail. Hurry up I'm running out of pails".
"I called the fire department before I called you".
"You mean we are suppose to have it cleaned"?????!!
"I've been meaning to call you guys".
"How much does it cost to take all the soot out of my furnace"?
"Send the bill to the state. They didn't tell you I'm on fuel assistance"?
"Its been running a little rough this year."
Soot everywhere.
"I have to leave in ten minutes. Can you fix it by then"?
"I told them to send the smallest guy they've got".
A 90% furnace is not supposed to be in a chimney. It needs to be direct vented. That will solve all his problems. Not only condensation, but odors will result in a chimney vented 90% furnace.
Sorry, but I think this is hilarious.
Get your hazmat and medical card for your drivers licence. Then you will have to give up the drugs.
The house is on the market....
I could only stand the first 3 minutes and 11 seconds.
No micron gauge. What an idiot.
Or what model a 9" x 14.25" pad fits into?
Does anyone know the size of the #45 pad(s)?
Its not on their website. Thanks.
The only thing keeping those terminals from touching the cabinet was one wire pulled tight.
I couldn't help but laugh as I could tell he knew better but was thinking to himself "Only one more year...

I couldn't help but notice a few unspoken comments about this condenser.
Go to tech installation.
Two comments : Clean that coil and run cap bandit.
I might be looking to sell (2) 30 pound jugs of r22, unopened still in the box for the right price.
What kind of liner?
Exterior or interior chimney?
How cold is it outside?
Could be excess condensation or a problem like we encountered.
We had a customer who had a Buderus with a oil fired...
Tell the plumber to install the correct size pipe.
That was easy.
The L8148 goes up to 220 or 240 deg. F I believe but i usually set them between 180 and 200 depending on the boiler and system.
This is for a boiler not a water heater.
All boilers and related...
What went wrong with the aquastat?
Thats too funny.
It lasted nearly 40 years!
Honeywell still makes the L8148 but most built nowadays last 5-10 years.
All the more reason to replace it with the...
L8148 is a high limit control.
You can probably use the new electronic universal aquastat by Honeywell.
L7224U1002.
It can be used as a high limit control by disabling the low limit.
If it...
We are owned by a corporation.
I'm quite sure the the bigwigs are getting thier bone us too.
This is an old thread, but I'll throw in my two cents.
The economy the way it is now anybody that has a job should be happy.
I'd rather keep getting decent raises than a bonus.
I've been at this...
I could tell you a long story about how my wife and I let our daughter have a cat at age 1.
But I'll keep it simple.
The cat was the most miserable thing. But lived to a ripe old age of 20 until...
I have the one from Westwood and the o rings don't last long.
I might just try making my own with a tee and shutoff
The Fields swg5 and also swg4 have oil ports on the motor. They use a special oil (swg lube)2-3 drops in each port/ year. I think it is special mainly because of the extreme temperatures it can be...
