    Installed a new 5mfd cap And wired the fan separately To it, now it runs like a top. Must of been a wiring issue, lesson learned.

    Actually though I probably should of been checking contactor voltage at the fan terminals but I was checking at the top lugs.

    370vac which matches what the new motor wants. Condenser coil didn't look too bad. Refrigerant pressures were with in reason.

    What is this fan?

    Check this out. It's a swamp cooler mixed with an evaporator and blower, also has an isolated condenser its hooked to, and a furnace inside the house. I was wondering what the fan is for though....
