Humidifier upstairs or downstairs?
If you could only have 1 humidifier where would you install it? On upstairs furnace or downstairs one?
Also if we keep house @ 55 degrees for a month at the time in winter will it even work? -

No, I have 2 units 3 and 5 ton. 3 ton unit zoned into Master Bedroom , rest of upstairs and basement ( 1 ton each)
This was done to avoid squeezing 5 ton of air into the basement -
