I wouldn't be as worried about the L wire missing as the Y2 wire missing. If that unit is a 2 stage unit.

I assumed he was using a equivalent f2rp air handler. I didn't see it in there either. Anyhow I wouldn't throw the equipment under the buss. Its prob lack of airflow like was mentioned earlier.

I looked in the install instructions of both units mentioned.. and i didn't see where they call for a suction line trap anywhere. I agree most manufacturers do call for the trap to be right before...

May have released some oil when they disconnected there hose's. I'd say wipe it off and see if it comes back. Without low loss hose's and 410a on the liquid line it could get pretty nasty.... Call...
