Just an update -- seem it is a function of pressure control after all. Listening more carefully I can hear a relay click on and off intermittently.

I moved in during the summer, so I have no idea about what the "normal" is for this unit in heating mode. But like I said, it seems to heat fine.
I cleaned the indoor coil with foaming coil...

I have an AUX mini-split heat pump. The outdoor fan seems to cycle on and off when in heating mode. Any idea what this is about? BTW, I'm not talking about defrost and it seems to heat perfectly...
BTW, this installation is in China - so I am wondering if anyone has any comments concerning the workmanship etc based on the photo?
About 18 months ago by a tech and about a year ago the gas company gave everything a once-over.
