I think you can but I'd check installation manual. Do you have a water tank next to furnace that also needs combustion air? It might be better to run a fresh air vent for whole furnace/utility room.

i use mine for both r22 and 410a. i also bleed liquid back into low side. if hoses are left with excess amounts of oil i will flush them.
