This is what internet selling to DIY'ers gets ya.
Shur-tape the joints real good and good to go.
I find it hard to believe that a company would turn away a sale just because they "would not turn on the A/C to ensure proper operation." Even if it needed some tweaking to make things right. To...
On the plus side....it makes it a tad harder to steal when its way up in the air like that.
That was one tough v-belt. /flex
Who in their right mind would allow something like this to be done to their home??
Replacing the part yourself and not going thru a dealer MIGHT have voided your warranty. If I were you, I would keep tight lipped about making your own repairs to any future companies doing warranty...
Just a random thought: Does your thermostat have batteries in it by chance? If so, when is the last time they were changed?
So, did you get the sale?
After 15 yrs in the feild, I too thought I was done with the trade and also got hired on at a large hospital. They paid for me to go to boiler operator school and obtain a boiler op license. It was...
I bet the 1/2 in to 3/4 in ring got knocked out before realizing he/she had a 1/2 in whip and didnt have any reducing washers and it was 4:45pm on a Friday.
Ok, i see where it reads "A/C Cycle Rate (Cr A/C) ME SL FA" but no temps. Where are you reading the "1.7 deg, 1.2 deg, and .07 degrees" part? Just making sure we are looking at the same manual and...
Are you positive you didnt change the "Temperature Display Adjust" thinking it was the offset differential?
I just looked at your thermostat manual and i did not see an option or even a feature to adjust a temp differential. It is probably factory set. Here is a pdf link to what i believe to be your...
Help me clarify something please. Your thermostat used to have the option to set a temperature differential or offset, and now the option is not there anymore? Or did the thermostat get replaced...
Speaking of Twilly, I havent seen him around lately. Does he still post? (Ive been away from hvac-talk for a little while)
In most cases, the refrigerant can be recovered into a clean and empty recovery cylinder and then put back in after repair.
I suppose if you had friends come over all the time, that would be really cool. But would get boring by yourself. Sweet set-up for sure.
At 1:20 I was expecting some eyes and teeth to gurgle out of that thing and growl at you. NAAAAAASTY !! I could kind of make out the sounds of a plastic as if you were bagging it up. Were you going...
It appears the return plenum has fallen off. Oh, and putting a humidifier in the attic is a no-no at my company. One good hard freeze and its water damage city.
Looks like a "maintenance man special".
Thats an LDL lineset. Ive also seen 30 ft of 1/4" copper liquid line wadded up in the attic on really old split systems and was told by an old timer once that it was the "metering device" of its time.
Love the very end... "OOH it's gunna be a good one!!'.............BOOM!!!!!
The Roof....The Roof....The Roof is on Fire......We Don't Need No Water....Let the Muthafugga Burn..
Sorry, I could help myself on this one. /couchhide
