How much is it through sid harvey? I've had one of them at my current job for 15 years now. It's been rebuilt but keeps taking a beating. I thought it was just a rebadged sootmaster.

I need to get a soot vac before this fall. Are there any other options besides the sootmaster? Everything I've seen is either a sootmaster or rebadged.
I really like those harbor freight bins. I found similer ones at Lowes and I fell in love with them but at $25 each I couldn't afford fittings for inside them.
Just curious how everyone is storing/organizing their copper, black, plastic, brass, etc fittings. Currently I just have mine sorted by size and material in some old drawers on the shelves of my...
Hmmm I don't know. How much does shipping usually run compared to within the states? I'm thinking last time I shipped up there it was about $5 more.
I have a few extra hole saws that i'd like to sell. These are all brand new and all are in the package except 1. Sizes are:

I don't do any pex but I have a job that I need to hook up some pex tubing. Should I just use sharkbites or buy the tool. If I get the tool I may take on some more plumbing jobs. I did some...
I would be interested in a list as well. I doubt I would be interested in everything but we'll see what all you have.
Been looking to stock up on some good wood bits but I"m not sure what styles/sizes I should get. Paddle bits, auger bits, hole saws, self feed. Let's hear what you prefer and why. I've always used...
I had the same problems with contacting. Let me know if the unit is still available.
is this the twin cylinder model? I may be interested.
Wow. List price up here is 1111.37 part number H25-641 I need to move to florida
Looking to buy a rotary hammer drill. I hate to drop the big bucks since I'll only be using it maybe 10 times a year if that. I was checking out the harbor freight model but I'm really hesitant. ...
I'll agree with the screwdriver. There was a tester on the truck when I started and it got me called back more then once. Switched to the screwdriver and I'm golden since then.
Where can you get a new one for $350? I just paid $560 this summer at Johnstone. Maybe I got ripped. I thought $350 for a unit with only a couple uses was pretty fair. This is the PM battery...
Are there any books on this topic? I'm familer with oil but never did a gas test.
I'm in the same boat. I'm also looking for a combustion analizer and noticed the bacharach fyrite insite does everything along with a CO tester. It keeps tempting me but I can't quite pull the...
I have a like new bacharach H10PM leak detector for sale. It has been used 4 or 5 times total and would pass for new. Looking for $350 or may consider trades. Currently looking for gas leak...
I'm looking for a tubing bender for 1/2" upto 7/8" soft copper. I've seen some cheapy lever type benders on ebay and I've seen the yellow jacket ratchet bender. I have a lever style for the smaller...
For arguement's sake what if we can't get to one of his classes. I just recently started checking into a combustion analizer but then I realized that I have no clue what's good/bad when it comes to...
I'll take the unit. Let me know how much with shipping to 16218 and how you would like payment. PM is the best way to reach me. Thanks
The one I'm looking at is 52". I don't do a whole lot of ductwork so I'm not sure I need all the equipment. The shop I used to work at just had brakes, roller, slitter and a pittsburgh machine and...
My personal garage has 2 heat sources that are very economical to me....FREE Waste oil furnace and a wood burner. Is the heater you have now just a hanging heater with a fan? That's not a real big...
Looking for options right now. I've decided to start doing as much of my sheet metal and ductwork as possible. I've noticed some of these 3 in 1 roller, shear, brake machines. Are these any good? ...
On the a coil or on the plenum where the a coil is located?
I've been using a yellow jacket 6cfm pump for 14 years now and it's still going strong. Just pulled one down to 38 microns this morning.
plus they don't rust out
I liked it better when they gave you one to put on the line set during the install. Now they put it in the unit since no one was installing them. It's just so much easier changine them externally.
Thanks for your time but I can buy those new for less then that.
what models are they?
what are they and how much?
What all adapters are needed for doing automotive a/c systems? I have the quick connects and will get the 1/2 to 1/4 and 1/4 to 1/2 since we have cans of 134a that have both fittings. I've heard...
Love the venting. Is there a cap to put the car exhaust in there as well?
Installer settings are just what they say....for the installers. Be careful in there or you can change that stat to settings that will do you no good.
If price doesn't matter I'd go ahead to do the heat pump. They're really nice in your area above 40*. Once you get it you may find yourself using it more then the gas furnace. Plus you always have...
As mentioned a hard start if pretty much a band aid. I have had them bring a dead compressor back for many years...I've also had them lock back up that afternoon. Worth a shot though.
Might make a nice furnace for someone garage as well.
It's possible there isn't enough supply or return air. I'd bet on the return. It may have been boarderline with the old system and now the larger unit can't flow enough.
Just noticed that promax now has an RG6000 model that seems to be competing with the G5 twin. Has anyone used this one yet? I was planning on getting a g5 but now I'm not sure. I've heard some...
It probably took longer to fab that mess then it would have to make a plenum.
If it's backwards I'd also check the sizing on it to see if it's big enough for the system. If you gotta open the system up get it out of there.
Looks like the tin tape bandit did that install. It amazes me every time I see this beautiful very expensive houses with crap for hvac systems. We've lost work from alot of contractors because we...
Why is the compressor kicking on after the fan? Does the compressor try to kick on with the fan initially? Sounds like a wiring, voltage or capacitor problem to me. We've had a few lennox cond...
If it's only 9 years old the heat exchanger is well within the warranty. The return doesn't sound so bad to me if it's a 3 ton/100,000 btu setup. Sometimes it's hard to do an accurate assessment...
I'd be curious for the info as well. They might offer something a little closer to me.
We've been running into this more and more in Pa lately. We do the heat tape/insulation thing but the heat tapes don't seem to last very long. They seem to self destruct after a few years.
Is this stuff approved by any of the manufactures? I doubt it since they want to sell more equipment but I've always been curious. Maybe they should start sending a can for warranty coils.
A restricted txv typically will give low pressure on the low side and high pressure on the high side. Alot of techs don't bother with a high side gauge for whatever reason. I'm as guilty as the...
Time for them to switch to gas.
A restricted txv may show up as low charge is he's a low side only tech.
