What about renting the hose & victalic couplings from Trane Chiller Source, just pass the cost on to the customer then you are not stuck with the hose at the end of the job. Just an idea.

The shaft shoulder measurement has everything to do with the contact seal. In other words thats the main reason for this measurment.

The literature says "detected current to ground 2.5 amps +/- 2 amps" = ground fault alarm.

Thanks for the info, and yes I megged motor all six leads to ground and all leads to each other just to be sure.

No I have not, I was not aware I could do that. Do you happen to have any literature on the chiller. I downloaded what I could off of the carrier site.

The version 26 board is for the compressor that is tripping.

Chiller#2 M/N 30HXC206RY-540BA S/N 0702Q01190

CCP board 1 for compressors a1 & b1 which was recently changed is rev. 26
CCP board 2 for compressor a2 which came on machine from factory is rev.23

Exv position was around 47%, I did ohm out the exv, checked perfect per the literature I have (25 ohms +/- 2 ohms I believe it was) also watched voltage go up and down as motor opened and closed

Customer has already replaced torrid sensor(sorry I referred to as CT) but I will take another look at that. Thanks for the help.
