It's been awhile since I've been on here, but why is no one screaming for superheat, subcooling and amp draw?
UNLESS, someone changed the reversing valve, and accidently put it in backwards, so added a relay sending Y to energize the RV in heat to cover his tracks, so it wooshed everytime call for heat...
What the heck is an RGF?
Underfeeding due to a bad txv is my guess. IMO you proved it by the high head in heating after adding charge.
Underfeeding indoor txv.
No, it's the rollout switch. A restricted hx doesn't allow for a proper draft, so it rolls out.
Contact your ICP rep to tell you how to clean the oil out of the secondary heat exchanger.
What position are the installs?
What furnace are you talking about? Would make a big difference in my thought process.
The blower needs to be pulled. Keep the filter changed, and you won't have to worry about it.
The round hole where they are connected. The ring pops off, just like the Goodmans. They had a service bulletin on them, and a recall at one time.
We've decided to use dye, unless the system is flat. Then we use a little r22 to flavor the nitrogen. I'm tired of buying new detectors to find they all miss small 410a leaks.
Our ICP reps seem to be a little more honest, they told us last time, a new oil they tried, emulsified and wouldn't drain with the water. This time the factory guy told me he thought someone found an...
Love that kid!
Not sure about the Carrier number, but the Bryant rep was surprised when I told him about it today. Didn't argue about the warrenty request though.
Return of an old problem, Tempstar T9MPX, Bryant 359AAV furnaces, with rollout problems on startup. Listen for gurgling in the secondary hx, indicating the return of the oil sludge. Thought they...
This is a perfect example of a company passing along a cost to the consumer that is the unintended consequence of government action. Just wait until they make the corporations pay their fair share.
In my experience, when I think I'm all that, I'll do something stupid that humbles the heck out of me. :grin2:
No solenoid, just a valve with an equalizer. Didn't let it run long enough to freeze the evap. Compressor was flooding so bad I shut it off. Compressed air temp was 105f. This unit was added to the...
Suction pressure is 68psi. Like I said both power elements on the txv and the hot gas valve, but not the bodies, have been replaced, along with two compressors. By another co. Now I need to get to...
That's what's bugging me. Txv is suposed to be factory set. I think it is the txv, because the pressure is in the green.
Can you say, Yearly Maintenance?
