I had the very same thing on the same size chiller happen last week. I didn't think it looked like 515 but I don't know how it got in there. I did this bearing about 6 years ago and thought that it...
Early style Sporlan EXVs on RTAA would do that where the wires go through the body. You can take it apart and tighten the little packing nut and use a little 515 on it.
Just cut it back on both ends and use butt connectors. You can heat shrink them if you want
I'll have to look into that further, thanks for the info.
I did Adaptiview panels and purges on them and then rebuilt them a year later. One of them that wasn't rebuilt has suddenly started to purge a lot and the bearing bracket is the only place I could...
Interesting! I had never heard about that. I installed 3 new purges at a site about 3-4 years ago and one of them has done that. It looks like the drier was full of coffee crystals. I opened up the...
I just noticed the remote mounting kit at the bottom of the document, maybe someone on here can tell you if that is all you need. KIT17751
Here is the parts manual for the PRG00110, which is what you should have ordered.847019 See what's missing and go that route, shouldn't be to bad.
You could have used this before buying your purge.847017
No your new purge can not connect to the old UCP2 panel. I have not seen a current stand alone Earthwise purge, hopefully it has it's own control.
If the chiller actually did have air in it and leak fixed, 100 minutes doesn't usually get rid of the air. Do at least a 24 hrs bypass
Everything you stated sounds like what you would see if a normal operating purge is on a leaking chiller. What is your 7 day pumpout average or are you having to reset it daily to keep it on?
Don't know what the price differences are but here is another option. It's unbelievably fast. Don't know if it will handle 514.

I've got 3 low pressure chillers with R-11 in them from the early 1990s that still have the original refrigerant charges in them. You won't be able to say that about too many R-134a chillers.

Last time it happened to me, the bleed resistors were bad. When it shuts down, the bleed resistors bleed down the dc bus.
This may help.

You won't be able to pump anything from the oil separator because there won't be anything in it. It doesn't collect any oil at all. It separates it and then drains out the bottom. You have to get it...
External circuit lockout is a hardwired set of contacts. That most people don't use. Normally has a jumper wire on it. In your case they may have a relay across the contacts that isn't closing.
I know Trane uses Epichlorohydrin for their flat gaskets. We did a Tri Star conversion of a Carrier 19C and they sent a roll of it to make a float chamber gasket and others out of. Don't know about...

Your serial number wouldn't pull up. This is same size unit so part numbers should be good but verify with Trane when you’re ordering.
Should be GKT00501, not suitable for r123
What's your email, I have something that might help!
If customer doesn’t want to spend the money a Harwill Q5 is an excellent flow switch, more durable than McDonnell Miller for large applications.
Did you try switching the pluggable connectors around. I’ve seen them turn all green inside, you probably have a bad cable.
It sounds like a wire or plug problem. Will one of the other llid cables reach it. Switch them around and see if your problem moves to the other device.
I'm curios about the talk of the need to dip and bake the motor. I've done probably 60 overhauls in the last 27 years and never sent one to Trane to have that done. We do the bearings in the field...
Yeah I went about 4 years ago and thought at that time that they shoved 7 days in 5 days, a lot to try to retain. Can't imagine doing it virtually.
I have had this several times. I have had the inlet to the filter plug up with what looks like coffee crystals. It can back up all the way into the 3/8” line coming down from the purge pot. Change...
I guess I missed it where you said you were there went it happened. No pressure differential involved, just strictly off of saturated condenser temperature except for the fans that come on...
You noted that the compressors start properly every time you restart them. I agree with Healy, you need to see what it does the first start of the day. They may run fine after they move the first...

If you have a 200 ton chiller, put in YCAS0200 style G and it will bring up what you need.
Get ahold of a YCAS style G IOM, it will show you how to set up everything. Those settings seem to change themselves every once in a while.
Correct, this location has a 1958 Trane bench grinder with the original panel and hasn’t been overhauled for over 30 years.
It appears that the small ribbon cable was not making good connection between J6 on the logic board and J2 on the micro board.
It is a Millinium single line panel. Does not seem to be communicating with the SSS. Don’t see the unit voltage or amperage. Does not show what the FLA set point is under %current limit where it...
I have a unit that until last week was running fine. Suddenly started tripping AC undervoltage.
I pulled the diagnostic history and found that the volts and amps were not recorded at shutdown.It...
I have had those Texas instrument low pressure peanut switches trip way to soon, you need to see if that's happening. They normally have valve cores under them.
Check your mail.
Yeah I have 4 of them around me at a plant that came from the factory with the UCP1. They are 1500 ton machines. I think they had basically stopped making them at that time but they started...
The actual price of an overhaul is so small compared to the final price I can't see that being much of an issue even if it's true.
There is also Lawyer Trane in Las Vegas
They're actually pretty easy. Just follow the service bulletin. The secret is getting the right parts, I believe you can order the piston with the seals already installed. I have always done it the...
You have mail!
They did not put out a lot of literature for RTHB, try RTHA-SB-15
I got one of the first versions available about 7-8 years ago. The license on it is good forever until Trane started changing the way they upgraded it. I got my first one for free, second one for...
I just had the same thing happen to me on an overhaul but we did change the pump and I had a fairly new guy working with me and when he reconnected the lines inside, he connected to the wrong port.
