I was calling for humidity. I don't think my home is very "tight" so to speak, but the large differences in the hygrometers and the humidstat has me puzzled.

Interesting. I wonder if that is the cause of my low-reading issue, or I just have an inaccurate humidstat? For testing for a while, I had the heating and cooling off and just let the humidifier run...

An addition to the above post, I left the setting at 35% and now it is humidifying with the other two hygrometers showing humidity in the upper 40's!

I took your suggestion. My portable was reading 48%. The Honeywell humidstat, when manually changed, would engage at 40% and cut back off around 30%.
