    I have a building full of the Armstrong PN 20 balancing valves, and I'm stumped as to what the hex head plug is used for on the side of the valve. Any ideas?

    Thanks, thats a good point and easy to check. For the most part the piping is in the mechanical rooms which also serve as the return air plenum. That said its generally in the low to mid 70's
