Nothing like bad new parts to mess up a day huh!!
HSI is 80 ohms.. no voltage at ignitor plug
used test light to trace 24v at all the safeties, only 3 and pressure switch and the stack switch.
replaced control board....same results.
yes honeywell 5 or 6000 cant be beat!!
floor joists are flush with TOP of foundation. 1 1/8 or such plywood floor is on top of joist, so ALL must go through
concrete unless you can go up an interior wall and over at the ceiling joist!...
So new construction. floor is AT the foundation so there is no
side wall to run venting through? Just build a chase to run it up and out the wall?
Thats my great idea???
Oh 1 1/4 gas pipe through...
Very common issue.. uneven temps, the cold air doesnt want to go up like the heated air. One degree an hour is common if properly sized. So it appears your getting good performance. If you want it...

Heat works great but the feeder tubes frost in cooling?? 65/165 as I recall.
So I figure the EXP Valve is Tango Uniform..
Any other pointers would certainly help....

Knowing the sequence of operation is a big help..you figured out..on cooling the combust

Wow!! well the air temp wont be a fire hazard.. but I hope they are all in interior walls.
Otherwise the heat loss will be really terrible..
SO the registers are in the walls, with no "boot" metal...
On average the TECH can install, but the INSTALLER usually doesnt have the
experience, knowledge or tools to be a TECH. Doing something by rote is
nothing like troubleshooting.
I usually find the control board is cutting off ignition too soon b4 the the valve opens.
There needs to be reasonable overlap between gas and lighting device.

Heat pumps move BTU, the temp is affected by many factors, If not properly charged
duct configuration and insulation of them. Air speed.. Each system has a totally different

part was defective... bad before/repalce part now works... There wasnt a model B on his truck..
1. I'd start with the compressor rating and see if it REALLY 36K btu.. manufactures are
often off of the rating with smaller compressors.
2. Course you cant test the AC cause its too cold??...
To be usually legal in most counties the manufactures manual is the BIBLE.
Some insurance companies check to see if equipment was permited after the fire....
but im sure your going to get a home...
Some are designed with better access for service. Some gas valves
are challenging to change when that comes around.

Its aged and the replacement is so much.. Give them the choice.
After 8 years most are on borrowed time. A few will make 10 years..
So I went on a "not working very well heat pump" call

You sure cant get 4 ton through that!! 1600 CFM required...
REMOVE THE HEAT!! How?? Return on 2nd floor. Needs better circulation.
More cooling really wont fix the airflow issue.. In fact if your "oversizing" the duct system. It will make the system short...
i DONT KNOW WHERE YOUR at, but here in Oregon, It has to be inspected
by the county?? working without permits can be a fine in the thousands of dollars. Certainly that company wouldn't want that to...
You should call and review with the service manager. Was it inspected?
